Resveratrol showed protective effects in animal studies, particularly in models of stress and disease, and may help prevent skin cancer. However, the research is mostly limited to rodents—human evidence is still limited, and there are real questions about whether your body actually absorbs enough of it to make a difference.
This was a comprehensive review of existing in vivo (in living organisms) studies on resveratrol, analyzing what researchers found when testing it in animal models rather than conducting a new experiment.
