Findings

Allergic reactions to personal care products are on the rise, especially among women. Fragrances and preservatives are the biggest culprits, but emulsifiers, UV filters, and plant-based ingredients also trigger reactions. The problem: standard allergy tests don't screen for most cosmetic allergens, so you can test negative and still react to your products.
