Findings

This review of 6 studies with 339 people found hibiscus extract made virtually no difference for weight loss โ€” participants lost an average of 0.27 kg more than those taking placebo, which is basically negligible. BMI and waist circumference also showed no meaningful changes. The good news: no safety issues were reported.
