Findings

α-Bisabolol, a compound from chamomile and other plants, showed antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties in lab and animal studies. However, most research was done in test tubes or on mice—human studies are limited, so we don't yet know if topical bisabolol actually delivers these benefits on real skin.
