α-Bisabolol, a compound found in chamomile and other plants, showed promising antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties in lab and animal studies. However, most research happened in test tubes or on mice—not humans yet—so we don't know if these benefits actually translate to your skin.
This was a literature review that analyzed existing experimental studies (mostly in vitro and animal models) about α-Bisabolol's effects. It didn't conduct new human testing.
