Cosmetic allergic contact dermatitis shows up in 2-4% of dermatology visits, with fragrances being the #1 culprit, followed by preservatives and hair dyes. The research found that everyday products like moisturizers and cleansers cause most cases, and importantly, natural ingredients can trigger allergies just as easily as synthetic ones.
