This study tested Matrixyl in two forms—patches and cream—on wound healing in animals over 21 days. Wounds treated with Matrixyl healed 63-82% better than untreated wounds, with the patch form outperforming the cream and even a clinical wound care product. Both forms boosted collagen production and skin cell regrowth, though the patch delivered results more effectively.
Researchers applied Matrixyl patches and creams at different concentrations to wounds in animal subjects, tracking healing progress through imaging, tissue analysis, and microscopic examination over three weeks.
