Matrixyl peptide improved wound healing by 63.5–81.81% compared to no treatment, with patch delivery outperforming cream in skin regrowth. Both the cream and patch versions with Matrixyl worked better than a leading commercial wound treatment (Comfeel) at the highest concentration tested.
Researchers tested Matrixyl in patch and cream forms on wounds in animals over 21 days, measuring healing speed, collagen growth, and skin cell regrowth against untreated controls and a commercial standard.
